From Ann:
Hi there, we have now moved all the textbooks into what was Javier’s classroom so that the old textbook room can become the new Multimedia centre. Over the past two weeks I have added 1471 new books to the library catalogue and moved several mountains of new books. During this process I have sorted through the older set of language Arts texts Houghton Mifflin Literature Experience, and it may be worth while for anyone interested to call into the library some time today to check out the support material such as journals, spelling for writing books etc. These resources could be most useful for ESL or in some cases as backup/ homework? for mainstream classes. There are also lots of teacher resource materials to go with them. It covers Kindergarten up to grade 8( but useful for our higher grades due to their low level language skills)

From Heide
TCIS is very fortunate to have a Taiwanese martial arts expert, Mr. Wang Shing Kun (actually, a Kung Fu Shaolin, Tai Kek expert) to give FREE LESSONS to anybody interested in learning the ancient art of Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Kek!

Lessons are scheduled after school (still unsure as to what days) at the 6th floor gym of Bldg. 3 from 3:20-4:00 p.m. If we have more than half of the teacher population signing up for this activity, school buses will be instructed to leave at 4:05 p.m. instead of the usual 3:45.

If you think this is for you, please sign up at my desk no later than tomorrow, Friday May 3rd, 2002!!!!!!!
