Message from the Headmaster

Dear TCIS Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back to TCIS for the start of the 2004-05 school year our families and friends. I hope that your summer break was restful and enjoyable.

TCIS's educational program is designed to provide a strong foundation for life-long literacy. We believe that every child is a unique and important individual who can learn. We believe it is our responsibility to serve as facilitators for the development of each child's maximum potential academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to providing opportunities, which assist in helping students make self-directed, and responsible decisions.

Each student will gain from his or her school experience in direct proportion to the effort he/she puts forth. To increase the opportunity for success, teachers, parents, and administrators must communicate openly and frequently.

TCIS's faculty and staff, like you, all want the best for your children, but we cannot do it alone. Parents play a key role in the educational process. A word of encouragement, a hug when the day has been rough, interest in your child's work, and your presence at school functions are proven ingredients for academic success.

Parents are important! We invite you to come to school, meet with us, talk to us, join the PTA and volunteer your time and energy. Your involvement will demonstrate to your child that you value education and are interested in ensuring their success.
Have a wonderful school year.

Respectfully,
Chih-hung Wu
Headmaster
